Just a quick outfit post today and a couple shout outs. First to Roger for taking these photos of me and secondly to Roma for posting this fun interview with me.

(*50s jacket: thrifted * shoes: Sanita * purse: weird combo of thrift and gift*70s dress: thrifted *)
Would prefer this outfit without the tights, but it's still chilly.

I know I am late to get on the high-heeled clog game. I actually find these so ugly, they are somehow oddly attractive. When on the east coast, I kept seeing these four different times and somehow their ugliness grew on me. What do you think, so ugly they're cute, just cute or just ugly?

Makeup Moment:

My very Vicky Talluso does Valentines manicure. Essie "lilacism" and China Glaze "rose amongst the thorns". (Inspired by Dainty Squid to use different colors.)

The makeup is a little bit inspired by Dior 2011 (except the shade of green isn't right.)
(*eyeshadow: MAC "swimming" *liquid line: Kat Von D* mascara: L'Oreal million eyes* lips: MAC lipglass in "bold and brash"*)

That green is enchanting, reminds me of displays from audio equipment. (image from style.com) Also, her hair is perfect. (Check out this great tutorial for more information on this achieving this look.)
What are your makeup inspirations for this spring and summer?

I like the different color nails, floral print skirt, and vibrant eyeshadow. It's a good "I can almost taste the Spring" look.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your feature. Fantastic!!!.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, the clog shoes, and the make up.
Have a wonderful Sunday, Melina.

I just read your interview! It was great. I love your outfit! I also think the clog trend is rather yucky, but you pull them off really well!

ReplyDeletemabye it's all the blog watching I do...i dunno...but i think those shoes are cute. I have whopper feet so they'd be revolting on me. i think i like them because they have laces? if they were plain heeled clogs, I'd probably find them less cute, if at all. Also love your dress, i do like the 70s flower patterns
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! I really love the way you did your make-up! You look gorgeous! I also must tell you how much I love those shoes! What a great find!

the shoes are CUTE. so is your outfit and nails. i tend not to dress up (especially lately) and you've inspired me to wear a skirt and tights tomorrow -- i might even take photos, too. :)
